Books and questions

I don't know how many of you pay any attention, when watching interviews on TV, to the bookshelves behind the interviewee. It seems there's always a bookshelf or two behind the speaker. Many times the shelves are filled with Readers Digest volumes -- yuck!

The other day, George McGovern was interviewed about the death of Sergent Shriver. Behind him -- of course, a shelf of books. I squinted to see which books were on the shelf. Yikes! "Tribulation Force" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, volume 2 in the "Left Behind" series. What's that all about? Is McGovern reading the "Left Behind" series?
